Who We Are

Alton Moore
Founder & CEO
Alton is the co-founder of Normalize Sobriety alongside his beautiful wife Kasandra, a movement born from their personal journey of resilience, faith, and transformation. A retired U.S. Army veteran with 16 years of service and over 40 months deployed in combat operations across Afghanistan and Iraq, Alton has faced the darkest depths of addiction and trauma—including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), emotional, physical, and sexual abuse.
Through the healing power of sobriety and his relationship with Jesus Christ, Alton found new purpose and a deep passion for helping others reclaim their lives. He is currently pursuing certification and licensing in Chemical Dependency Counseling, further equipping himself to walk alongside those still struggling. With Normalize Sobriety and the vision of House of Hope, Alton is committed to creating spaces of safety, dignity, and transformation for individuals and in recovery.

Kasandra Moore
Director of Operations
Kasandra is the passionate and resilient co-founder of Normalize Sobriety. A U.S. Army veteran with ten years of service, she brings unmatched discipline, strength, and heart to everything she does. During her time in the military, Kasandra broke barriers and faced unique challenges as a woman in uniform—experiences that shaped her perspective and deepened her commitment to advocacy and healing.
After transitioning out of the Army, Kasandra earned her Master’s in Social Work from Texas State University, channeling her life experiences into a mission of support and empowerment. Her academic journey was driven by a desire to understand trauma, addiction, and recovery not only from a clinical perspective but also from a deeply personal one.
Kasandra has faced and overcome multiple traumas throughout her life—both during and after her military career. Her story is not one of avoidance but of transformation. Through these hardships, she developed a profound empathy for others navigating similar paths, particularly women veterans who often feel unseen or misunderstood in their struggles.
At Normalize Sobriety, Kasandra uses her voice, education, and lived experience to create space for open dialogue around recovery, mental wellness, and the power of sobriety. She is a fierce advocate for breaking stigmas, fostering community, and ensuring that healing is accessible to all—especially those who’ve served, survived, and are striving to thrive.
